Description
Great color and size variation, from great monsters down to manageable mid-sized fruits. Especially good for Jack-o-Lanterns. Bred by John Howden in the 1970’s. Direct sow when soil has warmed, either in hills, 3-4 seeds per hill, 3 ft apart, or in rows, 2 ft. apart in the row, and 3-5ft spacing between the middles of the rows, 2 seeds per hole. Pumpkins, like all cucurbits, love ample fertility and thrive with lots and lots of compost added to the soil. In fact, some people even just grow pumpkins and squashes on their mature compost heaps!
